Deddeda White (Stemler) is an award-winning professional freelance photographer based in Tofino, BC, British Columbia, Canada, located on beautiful Vancouver Island. Deddeda specializes in photojournalism, documentary, editorial, travel, and commercial photography.
Her photographs have been published in major magazines, books, newspapers, and websites worldwide.

Deddeda loves to travel and explore the world. She has explored Thailand, Nepal, India, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Dominican Republic, the Arctic, the Cook Islands, Scotland, Spain, France, Indonesia, Peru, Chile, Egypt, Jordan, Costa Rica and the Philippines.
Deddeda graduated with a professional diploma in Photojournalism and Journalism from the Western Academy of Photography in Victoria. She immediately worked staff jobs at the Medicine Hat News and Victoria Times Colonist daily newspapers prior to freelancing full-time. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a Concentration in Criminology from the University of Calgary.
Deddeda was selected as a photojournalist for "Carte Blanche: Photography", a coffee table book showcasing a compendium of Canadian photographers, considered the best currently practising in Canada.
In addition to taking photos, Deddeda loves to paraglide, rock climb, scuba dive, kayak, hike, bike, camp and surf.
